Master of Learning and Development (Online Distributed Learning)

Effective learning design is at the heart of sound educational practices. USQ’s Master of Learning and Development (Online Distributed Learning) will help you develop your knowledge and skills in onine and blended learning design.

Coursework or research pathway

Through the Master of Learning and Development (Online Distributed Learning) you can design your degree with the option to take an 8-unit coursework studies pathway or a reseach pathway.

Both pathways will undertake core courses which focus on the study and evaluation of emerging learning environments, such as social networks. You will examine what is required to be literate in the 21st century and develop the ability to design, develop, facilitate and evaluate programs in online and blended learning environments.

Within the coursework pathway you will then complete 4 postgraduate courses from any other area of study based on your professional and personal goals and industry requirements.

Within the research pathway you will explore research methodologies and ethics before completing a major research project. A research pathway and project is a stepping stone for further research degrees, such as Doctor of Philosophy or Doctor of Education.

Study flexibility

If you are not sure whether you would like to complete an entire Masters degree, apply to study USQ’s Postgraduate Certificate in Learning & Development (Online Distributed Learning) and take the credit from your studies to the Master of Learning and Development if you decide to continue studying.

Career outcomes

The Master of Learning and Development (Online Distributed Learning) will enhance the knowledge and skills of teachers, lecturers and corporate professionals in the application of online education. It is particularly useful for anyone wishing to move into the fields of educational design, learning design, instructional design or development.
