Entry requirements

• An approved degree at no less than bachelor or 8-unit masters level in a non-accounting field from a recognised university or tertiary institution¹
• Applicants with overseas academic qualifications in accounting should write to either of the following professional bodies for an assessment of their qualifications, prior to applying for enrolment in the program: CPA Australia or The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. 
• Admission to the program will not be granted to persons who are members of, or eligible for, membership of CPA Australia or the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

Credit for previous study or work experience

You may be eligible for credit if you have previously studied or have relevant work experience. This will help to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.

A number of other pathways are also available if you haven’t been able to study previously or don’t meet the requirements for entry into your program of interest. ¹ Accepted by the director of Coursework Studies and is in accordance with the appropriate professional body guidelines.

• TOEFL (paper based): 570 (or better) (with minimum test of written English score of 5)
• TOEFL (electronic): 230 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 5)
• TOEFL (internet based): 90 (or better) (with 20 minimum in all bands)
• Pearson (PTE Academic): 58 (or better) (with no communicative score lower than 58)
• Singapore, Hong Kong, British 'O' Level English: 'C' or better
