The Faculty of Education prepares global educators for contemporary learning communities. We offer some of the most innovative education programs in Australia. Our programs aim to graduate students who demonstrate high levels of knowledge, understanding, qualities, skills, practices and values that will enhance their abilities as educators.

Areas of study

USQ's education programs cover a range of areas of study:

How to become a teacher

Whether you are a school leaver, mature-age student or have already completed a degree or vocational qualification in another area of study, we offer flexible, innovative programs to assist you in becoming an educator in the 21st Century.

What's New?
Now is the perfect time for you to realise your goal of becoming an educator.  Enrolments for Semester 1, 2012 are still open for potential students wishing to study the Graduate Diploma of Teaching and Learning (GDTL) or the Graduate Diploma of Teaching (GDTO).  As teacher education moves to a system of national accreditation and professional standards, the current 1 year GDTL and GDTO programs are to be replaced by a 2 year program throughout Australia. This change takes effect for the GDTL and GDTO Primary and Middle years programs from in 2014 and for the GDTL and GDTO Secondary program, in 2016.
