I’ve been a practicing educator for the past 21 years, having attained dual degrees in Teaching (Primary and HPE) and a Master of Education. I was inspired to pursue a career in education by many significant teachers who mentored me with motivational pedagogy and a commitment to see me reach my potential.

I value the responsibility I have to impact positively on students’ growth as future teachers and provide skills, insight and knowledge that will build a foundation of necessary resilience to make a tangible difference to children in 21st century classrooms. I also value my role in providing an example of how men can and do make a difference in primary education.

The best advice I have received with regards to education was to maintain high standards and to inspire and scaffold your students to strive to meet those standards. A teacher is in the business of nurturing students to meet their potential. It is inherently a very challenging but rewarding profession.
