Flexibility
Our students come from all walks and stages of life, which is why our programs offer the flexibility to help you balance study, work and family life.
If you're unsure which age group you would like to teach, you can commence the Bachelor of Education program and study for the first year before deciding on a specialisation. Every student completes core courses, specialisation (or teaching) areas and electives within this program.
As a postgraduate student, you can choose a specialisation that complements your professional and personal goals. You can tailor your study to suit your needs by selecting courses from other faculties as part of customising your learner-designed program.
Our Postgraduate Certificates articulate into various Masters programs as you continue your learning journey. Some Masters programs articulate into our Doctor of Education.
Research
We aim to foster and support research concerned with the theoretical and applied aspects of educational policy and practice within diverse social, cultural and political contexts.
Community
Since our first teacher preparation program began in 1972, we have developed strong connections with many professional and neighbourhood groups in our communities. As a graduate of our faculty, you are eligible to become a member of the USQ Alumni Network.
