Youth Leadership Program

On Friday 27 April, USQ is hosting the 2012 Youth Leadership Program (YLP). This event will take place from 9.00am to 2.30pm (registration from 8.30am) at Toowoomba campus.

This year’s YLP will focus on practical leadership skills, with an inspiring keynote address followed by hands-on leadership workshops. YLP 2012 program (PDF 183 KB).

The keynote speaker is Mr Rick Newnham, the 2011 Young Western Australian of the Year and co-founder of Left Right Think-Tank, an independent and non-partisan organisation that aims to create opportunities to involve young people in public policy.

Current and potential student leaders in Years 9 to 12 are invited to participate. The cost per student is $25.00 (GST inclusive), with morning tea and lunch included. Accompanying teachers may attend at no cost.

All students and teachers participating must also complete a USQ Talent Release Form (PDF 109KB) to allow photographs to be taken on the day.
