Job readiness is important to our students, who want to know that they will be well prepared for rewarding careers when they graduate. The Faculty of Education supports you to become job ready by providing Transition to Teaching sessions. Preservice educators at all stages of their studies can access important information about employment opportunities and the processes involved in applying for jobs in schools. Although the sessions are most relevant to final year preservice educators, all students can benefit from being better informed about the employment opportunities which await them. This provides you with professional direction and motivation throughout your studies. Transition to Teaching sessions are scheduled throughout the year, and are filmed in the television studios at the Toowoomba campus. Students are able to participate as a member of a live studio audience, or via live webstream. Questions can also be emailed directly into the studio to be answered by the presenters.
