Placement Process

  • All placements require a Teaching Placement Agreement form (available from USQ StudyDesk) which is an assessment item and must be submitted to the relevant course examiner.
  • No preservice educator is to approach a site to request a placement until they have been provided with information about the professional experience requirements by the relevant course examiner.

Non-supervised professional experience (NSE)

In addition to supervised experience, 25 non-supervised days of professional experience are also undertaken as an internship. Non-supervised experience offers preservice educators the opportunity to participate in, and contribute to education and care programs in a variety of settings, to participate in professional development activities and to successfully work as part of the professional team.

All students must confirm their placements through SONIA before commencing their internship.
