Research in the Faculty of Education is dynamic and relevant and our experienced researchers are highly engaged in a range of disciplines and paradigms, with a large number of research masters and doctoral students throughout Australia and around the world.
We aim to foster and support research that’s concerned with the theoretical and applied aspects of educational policy and practice within diverse social, cultural and political contexts, and are committed to activities and outcomes that benefit our various communities of interest and society.
Our active research training and mentoring program supports postgraduate students at the honours, masters and doctoral levels. Our research students enjoy close collaborative relationships with supervisors who have the time and willingness to work alongside their students.
Staff and postgraduate students publish actively and regularly present seminars, papers and workshops within the Faculty and at national and international conferences on emerging conceptual and methodological directions in the field.
Strategically, we are well positioned to take advantage of emerging research themes and the work of collaborative staff research groupings is becoming increasingly important.
Opportunities exist for research students to collaborate with individual academics and research teams, and you’ll find our researchers to be collegiate and approachable.
