Centres, grants and projects

We are associated with the following centres of excellence in research:

-  Innovative Designs for Enhancing Achievements in Schools (IDEAS)

Research Teams

The research activities of the Faculty have been broadened by the establishment of three Research Teams. These teams draw on the collaborative efforts of 22 staff within the Faculty and across our three campuses. These Teams are receiving targeted funding to support the production of quality outcomes.

The focus areas of the three Faculty research teams are:

  • research team 1 - exploring whole-school approaches to teaching and learning through the paradigm of values-based education; multicultural diversity of the school and wider community; and the preparation of preservice teachers as critical agents of change.
  • research team 2 - investigating capacity-building, pedagogy and social justice in various contexts such as academic research teams, regional organisations and rural communities
  • research team 3 - following a cohort of commencing students through their journey towards becoming educators through the implementation of the new BEDU program, in the Faculty of Education at USQ.

If you are interested in hearing more about the projects being undertaken within these teams, contact the Executive Assistant to the Associate Dean (Research).
