Education is committed to research activity that draws on both established strengths and emerging areas, and that’s consistent with our goals: facilitating high quality research outcomes; mentoring programs; publishing opportunities and support for external research grant applications.
In recent years, research activities have been broadened by the establishment of Education research teams and a new Education research centre.
Our collaborative research structure, as well as our emphasis on innovation and emerging themes, means we’re well positioned to deal with future challenges being ushered in by an emerging Excellence in Research in Australia (ERA) environment.
Our current research includes the use of remote access laboratory technology to promote creative thinking with children. Our researchers are also at the forefront of research into the integration of ICT in teaching, online education and educational leadership.
Education enjoys close partnerships with both government bodies and the private sector, ensuring our research is relevant and makes a difference.
