Orientation

Orientation, or 'O-Week', is the official start of the university year, so it's important that you come along. Take the opportunity to find out about the different teaching and learning processes of the university, familiarise yourself with the faculty, pick up details about your program and get to know the lecturers, tutors and other new students. Activities generally commence the week prior to the start of each semester.

Residential schools

There are compulsory residential schools for all students in the Graduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching (GDTL) program and the Guidance and Counselling postgraduate specialisation. Refer to Residential schools for further details.

Professional experience

All students enrolled in pre-service teacher education programs in order to be elibigle for teacher registration must complete professional experience.

Resources for students

A range of useful services and resources are available to assist all students with their studies. There are Academic learning support resources available at any stage of your journey.

External students can find helpful information about essential library services, including assignment assistance and research advice.

Forms

Obtain forms to request an academic transcript, apply for direct entry to a program, submit an assignment, defer an examination and obtain a medical certificate.

Scholarships and prizes

There are annual scholarships and prizes offered by the faculty, the university and government and professional bodies.
