USQ offers scholarships to outstanding students who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership and participation in the wider community. Scholarships are also available to those students adversely affected by financial hardship.
Scholarships are offered for the following:
- Academic excellence -new student
- Academic excellence -continuing student
- Equity (hardship) - new student
- Equity (hardship) - continuing student
- Master of Education (postgraduate) - new student
- International postgraduate scholarships
Faculty prizes
At each April graduation the Faculty awards a number of prizes to graduates in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs:

SPERA and
QLD ICPA Rural Education Prize, for outstanding achievement in coursework related to rural education and successful practical teaching experiences in rural settings.

Queensland Society for Information Technology in Education Prizes (2), awarded to the best graduate from the Bachelor of Education (Primary or Primary/Middle) program who has completed an ICT/computer focus area of study. Awarded to the best graduate from the Bachelor of Education (Senior/Middle or Secondary) who has completed a major or teaching area in ICT/Computer Studies.
