About the Doctor of Education
The Doctor of Education (EdD) is the advanced study of professional practice, set within a research context, combined with structured coursework.
There are two research courses from the Masters degree embedded in this program. Depending on the pathway chosen, coursework constitutes a quarter (or a third) of the doctorate and the research component is weighted at three-quarters (or two-thirds).
For the research component, you can elect to write a dissertation or prepare a folio of professional work that includes a formal research report and an analytical thematic statement.
This research degree is offered by distance with a minimum period of three years for full-time candidature, or part-time equivalent. Students applying for entry into this program will need to complete and submit an addendum.
