About Video Conferencing
Video Conferencing exists in many forms throughout the university ranging from simple software based solutions on individual staff computers through to sophisticated hardware-based facilities in fixed venues. An intermediate class of video conferencing incorporates a mixture of the two with simpler facilities and control functions. These are broadly categorised as Tier 1, 2 and 3 respectively.
These facilities are available to all staff for use in the normal course of business activities, either as a tool for collaboration and meetings with other colleagues at this and outside organisations, or as a tool for extending the reach of certain classrooms and lecture theatres to include participating students at other USQ campuses.
