Submission Guidelines


Papers
Presentations, in English, are solicited for consideration for publication - provided they have neither been published nor are being considered for publication, elsewhere.


Style( Please download MS Word Template )
As much as possible, typescript should conform to the following:

  • Word document
  • Arial font
  • 12 point
  • Title of paper (Capitals, bold, centered), top of page
  • Authors name (centered under title of paper)
  • Sub-headings (left aligned, bold)

Based on an A4 page size use the following margins:

  • Top 1"
  • Bottom 1"
  • Left 1.25"
  • Right 1.25"
  • Gutter 0"
  • Header 0.5"
  • Footer 0.5"

All figures and tables should be integrated in the typescript.

To assist you in the preparation of your submission a Microsoft Word template has been established. It has embedded in it, the layout and styles as specified
above.


Abstract
An abstract of not more than 100 words should accompany each submission.


Submission of Articles
Submissions, which should normally be between 2000 and 6000 words, are to be forwarded by electronic mail to the Executive Editor, Alan Smith (smith@usq.edu.au)


Submission details
Authors' names, titles, affiliations, with complete mailing addresses, including e-mail, telephone and facsimile numbers should appear on the first page (if sent as a document attachment) or the first screen page (if sent as a direct email message) to ensure anonymity in reviewing.

Authors are completely responsible for the factual accuracy of their contributions and neither the Editorial Board of e-JIST nor the University of Southern Queensland accepts any responsibility for the assertions and opinions of contributors. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to quote lengthy excerpts from previously-published articles.


Publications
All articles are refereed by at least two experts on the subject. The Executive Editor and the Founding Editors reserve the right to suggest changes and corrections and to decide the final acceptance and publication schedule of accepted manuscripts.


Copyright
e-JIST is published by the Distance Education Centre, University of Southern Queensland. Papers accepted for publication by e-JIST become the copyright of the publisher. Authors retain the right to use their own material for purely educational and research purposes. In all subsequent publications, whether in whole or part, the Journal must be acknowledged as the original publisher of the article. All other requests for use or re-publication in whole or part, should be addressed to the Executive Editor.
