| Background |
Lauren began playing cricket when she was 10 years old through a male competition in Warwick. From there she represented the Darling Downs for a number of years before being invited to play in the Queensland Under 17 team. In order to accomplish this dream she had to play in the open women's Brisbane competition where she played for Beenleigh/Logan. All the travelling paid off and she was selected in the Under 19 team to compete in Sydney and also captain the Under 17 team in Perth in 2004. Lauren represented Queensland in these under age competitions until 2006. She was awarded her Queensland Academy of Sport scholarship in 2004 and is currently training and participating in the QAS X1 and the Fire Second x1 while working her way toward the open Queensland Fire Team.
