Robo Cup Junior
RoboCup Junior is a set of robotics challenges designed to encourage teams of students to independently explore technology. An international team of teachers and researchers developing educational activities and enabling technology t support the robot challenges.
The challenges

Dance - build a robot or group of robots to perform a two minute dance routine

Rescue - build a robot to follow a path to rescu a Yowie from a swamp

Soccer - build two robots to play two-on-two soccer
The technology
Predominantly LEGO mind storm kits for construction of robots. The programming used is RoboLab which is a visual tool than can be easily used by children aged 7 through to 18 years.
School involvement
RoboCup Junior is a national competition and includes around 150 schools, including primary and secondary students. Students that complete in the regional event may be eligible to compete in the Queensland final held in Brisbane in August each year.
Teacher training
