This major was initially established to provide a high level of articulation for graduates of a TAFE Advanced Diploma course in building and construction engineering.

This major of the Bachelor of Engineering Technology program provides a sound knowledge of the principles and practice of building and construction as well as the management skills required to supervise projects of this type.

Many supervisors in the building and construction industry have a trade background and lack formal tertiary qualifications. This program will provide these people with an appropriate qualification which will enable them to work as an Engineering Technologist.

Career opportunities

Opportunities exist as an engineering technologist in the building and construction industry, and/or a construction site manager.
