What is the Project?
The course pair ENG4111 Research Project Part 1 and ENG4112 Research Project Part 2, together form 'the Project'. The Project is an important part of the degree programs:
As well as ENG4111 and ENG4112, students are required to complete the course ENG3902 Professional Practice 1 prior to commencing their project. In conjunction with their project they are required to complete the course ENG4903 Professional Practice 2 (students enrolled in the Graduate Diploma of Geomatic Studies are not required to complete the practice courses). Each of the four courses that relate to project work have their own assessment items.
The recommended enrolment pattern* for these courses is as follows:

*Please note that students are able to study these courses in other semesters, for further information please contact the Faculty.
Ideally students should commence the project in the year prior to your final year of study in the Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Spatial Science program. Students must firstly enrol in ENG3902 and commence the preparation of their project at the semester 2 residential school.
In your final year of study, students should undertake ENG4903 as part of the semester 2 residential school as well as completion of ENG4111 and ENG4112 over an entire academic year.
