Student Representation

As the Student Representative on ESC, Simon Thompson’s role is to not only promote sustainable thinking and practices but also voice student concerns at a committee level. Having experienced firsthand the work that the University is undertaking to achieve its carbon neutral aspirations Simon worked alongside Campus Services in the delivery of the USQ’s first Environmental Audit in 2010.

Currently studying Engineering full-time Simon does not consider himself a “Greenie”, he seeks to highlight the efforts the University is making to “practice what it preaches”.
