Name the Green Office competition

Following an overwhelming online response to the competition and much deliberation by the judging panel, the winning name for the new environmental office is “The Lilypad”.  The winning entry was submitted by Edy Syquer  (a student who has just completed a Graduate Certificate in Editing and Publishing) who was inspired by an image that exists within our natural environment. 

Achieving environmental sustainability requires time and commitment and at USQ we are committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2020.

To help us achieve our carbon neutral goals, a Green Office will open at the Toowoomba campus In November 2011. Located in the quadrangle, the new office will deliver:

• information to staff and students on the Universities carbon neutral initiatives
• carbon reporting
• green office programs
• tools and information to help you reduce your carbon footprint
• an easily accessible location to drop in and see us with any questions or concerns.
