The Faculty of Arts is ready for the Academic Year 2013.  Our course profile for this year is substantially unchanged following several years of program renewal.  The Academic Division restructure currently underway at USQ will have no impact on our programs and courses and the service that students expect of us.  We have a great team of academic and professional staff on board and I hope that you will join us in speaking positively about the Faculty to your friends and family.  Our Artsworx events this year promise a rich feast of intellectual and creative fare – come along and support us.
- Associate Professor Rhoderick McNeill, Acting Dean.

PHD research

A full-time job as Policy and Research Manager, having a young family with two boys, aged 3 and 5 years, and starting life from scratch in Australia, has not stopped Mukesh Prasad from diving into the deeper end of research. Six years of part-time study has now placed him in the unique position where his research findings, combined with industry and personal experience, can resolve perhaps the biggest dilemma facing community clubs in Queensland: whether they are just liquor and gaming venues or much more.

It’s an exciting time in Artsworx over the coming months, with a range of performing and creative experiences on offer.
The Twilight Series opened with a sell-out performance by Brisbane jazz ensemble Laique.   Rehearsals for Children's Theatre Week and registrations for the McGregor Winter School open in March.  School and community groups can register now to participate in this year’s To Glee or Not to Glee night at the Shakespeare in the Park Festival
