- USQ's Captain Narelle Peach is the administration coordinator in the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Southern Queensland. She returned to work in April after spending years abroad as part of the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands, which she began in 2003.
- Maree Kilpatrick is the recipient of the University of Southern Queensland's prestigious Joyce Campbell Lloyd scholarship and has taken off on a musical journey of a lifetime.
- USQ Vice-Chancellor Professor Jan Thomas recently topped off a whirlwind tour of the subcontinent by picking up a prestigious award for her leadership in international higher education.
