Summer School Events

Share in the USQ McGregor Summer School experience by enjoying a range of concerts, exhibitions and markets on offer this week.

Today (17 Jan), you can catch a Free Lunchtime Concert and an evening Music Theatre Concert in the USQ Arts Theatre.

The McGregor Gala Students' Concert will be presented at the Empire Theatre on Friday evening (18 Jan). This tour-de-force of orchestral, ensemble and vocal performances will bring together over 100 talented musicians and singers.

On Saturday (19 Jan), the Summer School will open its doors to the public for a showcase of works and performances from 12noon - all welcome - lunch available for purchase.

Sensational Twilight Series

Our popular Twilight Series returns with another entertaining and inspirational season of beautiful music and captivating conversation.

This year, we host Brisbane jazz ensemble Laique; internationally regarded guitarists Mark Sholtez and Bruce Woodward; Brisbane singer/actress Bernadette Meenach, American pianist Jovanni-Rey De Pedro and the Brisbane-based Tulipwood String Quartet. Widely renowned local musicians, Phillip Gearing, Martin Crook and Melinda van der Meulen and arts specialists in the fields of archaeology and Shakespeare will also take the stage at twilight.
