What's On in March
It's a busy month in arts ... with enrolments now open for Winter School; Race Day this weekend; another exciting exhibition about to be installed in the Gallery; rehearsals about to commence for Children's Theatre Week; our next Twilight Recital; competitions galore; and plenty of prizes to win and fun to be had!
We also welcome our new Production Manager, Mark Millett to the Artsworx team this month.

Enroll Now for Winter School
Enrolments are open for the 2013 McGregor Winter School (1-5 July).
We have 17 fantastic fine and creative arts classes on the program including two exciting new offerings: Pierced & Translucent Porcelain and Perspex Sculpture.
Be quick to secure a spot in the class of your choice!

Clarinet, Soprano & Piano at Twilight
We're pleased to announce that consummate Dutch clarinettist, Rianne Wilschut and acclaimed Brisbane soprano, Shelli Hulcombe will join highly regarded local musician, Phillip Gearing (piano) to perform at our next Twilight Recital on 27 March.
For you chance to WIN a double pass to the Twilight Trio Recital, simply send us an email, with 'Trio' as the subject to boxoffice@usq.edu.au - the winner will be drawn on 13 March and notified via email.

Super Adventure for Children
Rehearsals start this month for our Children's Theatre Week production - Skeeter's School for Successful Superheroes (7-12 May).
Written especially for children aged eight years and up this is a super theatrical adventure about finding the hero from within!
Bookings are open for the season - with special discounts available for group bookings of 20 or more.

Arts Gallery News
Drop into the Gallery this month to see our new exhibition; Higher Ground - Toowoomba & Recent Works by Maureen Hansen.
The exhibition will be opened at 5pm on 12 March - come along and see this exciting collection of paintings.
The Gallery is open from 9.00am-5.00pm, Monday to Friday and admission is free of charge.

Song Writing Competition
Young songwriters from across the Darling Downs are invited to enter the USQ Creative Arts' inaugural Your Song Our Way Song Writing Competition.
The competition asks entrants to submit an original song, with the winning work performed live at the Your Song My Way concert on 25 and 26 May and recorded professionally.

Bruce Dawe Poetry Competition
Calling all budding poets ...
Entries for the 2013 Bruce Dawe National Poetry Prize are now open. This prize is awarded annually to encourage emerging Australian poets, highlighting the important contribution they make to our culture.
