A Midsummer Night's Dream

A Midsummer Night's DreamThis spring, the annual Shakespeare in the Park Festival will present a star-lit season of Shakespeare's beloved comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream in Toowoomba (7-15 Oct) and Hervey Bay (21 & 22 Oct).

This spectacular production, with its fantastically funny mix of lamenting lovers, feuding fairies and wayward love potion, promises a thrilling night of live theatre.

If you are travelling from the Gold Coast, Brisbane or Ipswich to the see The Dream in Toowoomba, why not consider our over-night tour package?

Hat designed by Elaine MergardLimited places are still available for McGregor on the Bay running from 16-19 September in Hervey Bay. Don't miss your chance to learn Digital Photography with Don Hildred or Celtic Calligraphy with Gemma Black.

Enrolments open today for the 2012 McGregor Summer School (4-14 January). The 10-day arts retreat will offer 50 classes ranging from music to theatre and fine to creative arts. Many old favourites return, along with several new classes including Hats with Flair; Drawing the Wild; Heraldic Engraving and Preserving Your Heritage.

Shakespearean Symposium

Shakespearean Reverie SymposiumThis year's Shakespeare Festival will also play host to visiting international and national scholars at the inaugrual Shakespearean Reverie Symposium.

Held at Cobb and Co Museum, the symposium will run over three days (6-8 Oct) and include presentations, workshops especially for secondary school teachers and a book launch.

To Glee or Not to Glee

To Glee or Not to GleeSchools across the Darling Downs and Lockyer Valley are in rehearsals for the inaugrual To Glee of Not to Glee schools' spectacular.

Presented by The Chronicle in conjunciton with the Shakespeare Festival, this project will culminate with a public performance on the Festival mainstage on 12 October.

Come along and see the very best of young talent from our local community.
