The overall aim of this plan is to develop a single reinvigorated repository of academic skills resources for students.

Goals

  • To provide a single integrated repository of academic skills online resources for students.

    • Map nature and location (audit) of online academic skills resources for students.

    • Restructure architecture of web resources in collaboration with USQ web restructure and implementation of new CMS:

      • include linkages with USQAssist-like systems; and

      • include strong linkages to proposed virtual learning centre.

    • Implement a quality assurance process for development, provision and maintenance of online resources for academic skills.

  • To re-invigorate current ALS resources, especially those for international students.

  • To develop online resources using the new technologies that can be used flexibility by diverse students.

  • Assist faculties to develop and/or revise communication and referencing handbooks for online delivery.

  • To provide generic resources for staff to incorporate into courses as required.
