Computer requirements
All students are required to have access to a personal computer. Computer requirements are summarised in the table below. In the left hand column, a minimum standard for existing computers is specified. This applies to all students enrolled in Faculty of Business courses other than IT students. IT students are students who are enrolled in one or more courses from the School of Information Systems. These courses are identified by course codes beginning with CIS, with the exception of CIS1000 Information System Concepts . In the right hand column, recommended specifications for new purchases are listed. IT students are required to have access to a computer with the specification noted in this column.
Please note that extra hardware or changes in hardware may be required in later years of a program. Software is specified on a course-by-course basis and is often provided with a textbook. Obtaining software in advance of enrolling in a course is not recommended since the latest version is usually required.
