What fee applies to me?

statement of account will be forwarded to you approximately two weeks prior to the start of semester, outlining the fee you will be required to pay.

Alternatively, you can determine the fee you may pay by:

  1. referring to the Program Summary table of your chosen program of study via the USQ Handbook, to find out what fees are applicable for that program.
  2. familiarising yourself with the types of Commonwealth supported students to determine the student contribution amount, if the program offers a Commonwealth supported place.

Commonwealth loans and scholarships

To assist students with the costs associated with undertaking higher education, eligible students in both Commonwealth supported programs and tuition/direct fee programs will have access to:

Commonwealth Assistance Notice

After the census date each semester, USQ will send you a Commonwealth Assistance Notice (CAN), which will include details such as your:

  • Student Learning Entitlement usage
  • student contribution amount
  • HELP assistance
  • Commonwealth Higher Education Student Support Number (CHESSN).

It is important you keep your CAN for future reference. Students can also view and print their Commonwealth Assistance Notice online (eCAN) at USQConnect > USQAdmin > Financial Information > Commonwealth Assistance Notice.

Student Learning Entitlement (SLE)

All domestic students (commencing and continuing) who are given a Commonwealth supported place, will receive a Student Learning Entitlement (SLE). Tuition/direct fee paying students do not use SLE.
