Contributing to Fraser Coast

There are many reasons why members of the community choose to be involved with the growth of the University:

  • your business needs to develop the local pool of expertise for future employment opportunities
  • you would like to contribute to the interaction of the University and the community
  • you would just like to help someone to go to university.

Through your generosity, programs and facilities are developed and maintained, opportunities are provided for students and the future of faculties and the University is secured.

Scholarships, Bursaries and Prizes

Student awards are vital to the University and the region to attract and retain students to study, train and work which inturn builds the local resources of knowledge, skills and expertise. They support students in financial need and encourage people with limited resources or disadvantaged backgrounds to continue with their studies.

Chancellor's Scholarship

USQ's premier scholarship, the Chancellor's Scholarship is awarded annually to one outstanding first-year student at the Fraser Coast campus. The successful applicant must have a strong academic record and must have been actively involved in extra-curricular and community activities.

The scholarship is awarded annually with the recipient receiving $4000 each year for the duration of their degree. Donations towards this scholarship fund help secure the future of this valuable program.

This and other scholarships help students make a long-term commitment to the region and build the capacity of the Fraser Coast community.

Gifts and Bequests

Gifts and bequests is another way you can help the University. Donations can be made via personal tangible property such as artworks, books or land or simply by volunteering to assist with activities.
