Undergraduate programs

If you would like to study your first degree, such as a diploma, associate, or bachelor degree, then USQ offers a wide variety of undergraduate programs. Even if it’s been a few years since you finished high school, all domestic students must apply through QTAC (Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre). It’s simple! Just follow these three easy steps to apply to USQ.

1

Choose your program

Have a look at the wide variety of programs offered at USQ at our study areas page. You can apply for up to six programs at one time, and list them in order of preference. For more information about program preferences with QTAC, make sure you look at our QTAC page.

There are a few special programs which aren’t applied for via QTAC:
  • If you have studied with USQ previously, completed an eligible TAFE qualification or are studying a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours), Bachelor of Education (Technical and Vocational Specialisation), Bachelor of Science (Honours), and Bachelor of Vocational Education and Training, you can apply directly to USQ by applying online.
  • Applicants to the Bachelor of Creative Arts will be required to attend an interview with staff from the School of Creative Arts in addition to the formal application processes.

What happens next?

Both QTAC and USQ will let you know whether you have been successful with your application. If you accept your application, we will then contact you and let you know what to do next, and guide through the process of enrolling. We will be with you every step of the way. Don’t worry if your application was unsuccessful via QTAC. There are a number of reasons why offers are not made, including a higher than expected program cut-off, admission requirements not being met, or a late change of preference. There are lots of options available so you can still study with us at USQ if you did not receive an offer.
