Special Education
Our global society greatly requires expertise in the needs of learners with special needs. As an educator in this specialisation, you will develop the ability to respond effectively to the diverse needs of all students, particularly those who experience learning difficulties.
At the undergraduate level, you will develop a deeper understanding of the challenges associated with special needs in classrooms, including the creation of inclusive classroom settings, behaviour management and teaching, and communicating with children with high support needs.
When beginning your journey as a preservice educator, choosing your area of specialisation is a complex decision. Shared first year courses within the Bachelor of Education, give you the time you need within your first year of study to confirm your choice of specialisation and transfer to another if you wish.
