Archaeology
Archaeologists open a window to the past by studying the remnants of other cultures and civilisations. They give us the chance to see how people lived and how they interacted with their communities and societies.
By studying Archaeology with us, you will gain a broad and relevant knowledge base by combining practical training with courses in anthropology and history. There are plenty of opportunities to get hands-on with this major, with archaeological training, including field methods and laboratory analysis
As a student, you will have access to our research laboratory for project work as well as the opportunity to work as a volunteer lab assistant. There is also an extensive and comprehensive library available to advanced level students for use under supervision.
We also have strong ties to The Australian Archaeological Association which is one of the largest archaeological organisations in Australia.n Australia. The association represents a diverse range of professionals, students and others with an interest in archaeology.
