I’ve applied to study, but now what?
After submitting an application, whether via QTAC or directly to us, there are a few more steps before your studies can begin:
Offer
If your application meets all the entry requirements for the degree you would like to study, our offer of a place will be on its way to you.
If you don’t meet the requirements for your first degree of choice, don’t worry! We will generally be in contact with some other options to get your study plans back on track.
Accept
Once we’ve made you an offer, its back to you to accept it. Accepting is no harder than clicking a link in our offer email.
Enrol
Now that you’ve secured your place in a USQ degree you’re almost ready to study. Our degrees are made up of anywhere from four to 32 courses which, in a typical semester, you can enrol in up to four of these courses at a time.
To find out which courses you should enrol in first, have a look at the recommended enrolment patterns in the USQ Handbook or make contact with one our Student Relationship Officers who will be able to step you through this step.
If you are studying one of our pathway programs, through cross institutional study, or a professional development course, we may enrol you in your courses so you might be able to skip this step.

Apply for scholarships
We’ve got loads of scholarships available, so why have a look at Scholarships on offer and take 30 minutes to apply for a few.
Apply for credit
If you’ve studied at TAFE or another uni before, or got some on-the-job experience, you might be eligible to get credits that can be put towards your new degree. For more information, have a look at our information on applying for credit.

Orientation
This is final step in ensuring you get the best start at USQ. In the week before teaching begins, we run a range of workshops to get you up-to-speed on everything you need to know to get started at USQ.
