Stressed about going to uni? Don’t be.

There are heaps of resources available to help you make the transition into USQ life, starting with your very own Student Relationship Officer (SRO).

Your SRO will help you find your way and help you through the ups and downs, from the day you enrol to the day you graduate.

Where ever you are, your Student Relationship Officer is never far away ready to answer any questions you may have and offer support – they’re only just a phone call, email, tweet or post away.

Psychological wellbeing

Experiencing anxiety or having some problems in your personal life that you are struggling to cope with?

Our counsellors can assist you with the new challenges you may face with university life, by helping you to develop strategies and skills to assist you to manage your studies successfully.

Our counsellors offer a free confidential counselling service for currently enrolled students who are experiencing anxiety, depression or grief.

No matter whether it is a study related matter or something more personal, we are here to help you achieve the right balance for your emotional and psychological wellbeing.

Indigenous Student Support

The Centre for Australian Indigenous Knowledges (CAIK), located at all our three campuses, offers support to our Indigenous students throughout your university study.

Whether is arranging Indigenous Tutorial Support Scheme (ITAS) assistance, transport and accommodation for Residential Schools, academic learning support, access to the computer lab or just having a cuppa and a chat – they’re here to support you through your degree.

Careers and Employment

As a USQ student, you can access a broad range of career counselling services and advice, including access to our online Career Library and CareerHub.

Our counsellors offer free, confidential advice to maximise your career opportunities, regardless how far along you are with your degree. So if you are thinking about your studying, our Career team can help you from before you start until the day you hand in that last assignment, to help you find, and secure, your ideal job.
