Can I get into uni?
Yes – of course you can!
At USQ we don’t just look at your grades, but also your work experience and your abilities.
You can apply to study with or without a high school certificate (Year 12).
Offers are based on a number of factors including your Year 12 results (if you have them) or your work experience, training and other qualifications. Your apprenticeship and your time at TAFE is also counted – and sometimes you even get credit!
Pathway programs
If you don’t meet the entry requirements for the program you are interested in, you can still apply for entry into a preparatory program.
At USQ we offer our Tertiary Preparatory Program that is designed for people hoping to gain entry into university programs, without much formal education or work experience - or for those who want to brush up on their study skills before starting their bachelor’s program. It is a fee-free program, offered in all three semesters, on-campus and via distance education.
If you are applying for places in some programs, e.g. music or visual arts may be required to attend an audition or interview, or submit a folio of work, so be sure to contact us for information on the entry requirements for the program you are interested in.
