How different is uni from school?
University study is very different from school study. It needs much more planning, self motivation and responsibility.
Firstly – you don’t have to be here all day, every day. Classes can be spread out over the week, often with large gaps of time in between. The time when you are not in class is your own; you can use it for studying, working, meeting up with friends and so on. Just don't waste it!
There is no-one chasing you for your assignments, or to make sure you come to lectures. You are encouraged to question and discover your own information and form your own opinions.
You choose to be here. You choose your degree, your courses, how much study you do, and what success means to you.
It really is up to you! Your motivation is the first step to your university success.
