Can I work and study at the same time?
Yes, you can. Lots of our students work part-time while studying to provide extra money to supplement government study allowances, and even more of them are studying part-time as part of upgrading their business skills, changing careers or studying just for the love of it!
They organise their study around work or family commitments, by choosing a program and study mode that best suits your situation. So don’t worry – we have plenty of experience looking after students just like you.
We offer a wide range of courses via distance or online modes as well as on-campus.
There is also the option of studying part-time, taking on only the number of courses each semester that you can fit in with the rest of your life!
Some courses, such as music or science may require on-campus attendance, or attendance at residential schools, so you will need to check with us for some more specific information about them.
Don’t forget that, if you are receiving a government benefit such as Austudy, and you want to study part-time and work as well, any income you receive may affect your payments. Contact Centrelink for more details.

If you do want to do a degree, you can gain credit for these courses once you commence a degree program at USQ.
You can choose from an extensive range of courses in our three flexible modes:
