Creative and Applied Media
Applied Media
Applied Media will give you specialist skills in digital television production, digital audio production and broadcast radio. You will develop and produce a large amount of television and radio content for community broadcast, giving you practical, hands-on experience and developed skills in script writing, broadcast production, research, interviewing, documentary production and production management. Our students produce shows for television stations and have access to our online community radio station ‘Phoenix Radio’ where you will be able to see the inner workings of radio production.
At the postgraduate level, our Master of Arts (Applied Media) allows you to develop specialised knowledge and undertake research in the field of applied media. It offers coursework in theory, advanced skills in media editing and allows you to complete a dissertation or project work (such as the production of an extended documentary film or radio feature).
