Undergraduate programs

If you are coming from high school or TAFE, or have not completed any higher formal education, then USQ offers a wide variety of undergraduate programs. These are the first steps in building your career and can result in a substantial increase in your earnings.

Bachelor degree

We offer a wide variety of bachelor degrees which create wonderful career opportunities and further education possibilities. Depending on what you want to study, bachelor degrees may require three, four or five years to complete. You also have the option to study two bachelor degrees at the same time, known as a combined program, which allows students to graduate with extra qualifications.

Diploma

Not sure if you want to commit to a whole degree? Why not study a diploma, which is a one year full-time course. USQ offers a number of diplomas that can give you qualifications and help you take the first step into your university education.

Associate degree

An associate degree is two years full-time, and still offers wonderful career opportunities without the commitment of an entire degree.

Honours

Honours programs allow students to hone in their research skills by completing a thesis.

Postgraduate programs

Postgraduate degree programs are for people who have completed an undergraduate degree and/or have equivalent prior learning. They are a great way to expand your knowledge in a certain field.

Graduate Certificates/Graduate Diplomas

Graduate certificates and graduate diplomas are offered a wide variety of courses at USQ. These postgraduate qualifications often indicate advanced knowledge in your chosen field, and thus can be associated to better career opportunities.

Masters degree

USQ offers a number of masters degrees in each faculty, which are undertaken as postgraduate studies. Generally after an undergraduate program has been completed, an additional 2 to 4 years of study must be undertaken in order to graduate with a masters degree.

Doctoral degree

A doctoral degree is the highest qualification given by a university, and usually requires the completion of a thesis which is assessed externally by experts in the field. USQ offers a number of doctoral degrees.

Research degree programs

Research degree programs sanction students to fulfill an interest in a particular area of research, by focusing on this topic throughout their studies and allowing them to make significant contributions to the expansion of knowledge within their field. Research degree programs are very rewarding and are offered in a variety of faculties at USQ.
