Hi I’m Chris McCormack and I’m a USQ student.
I did go straight to uni but then, I went to uni for a year but then deferred for two more years, two years after that and now I’m back. I’m very happy to be back at uni, and um I probably should have gone back sooner.
(TV) in his football calendar…
I’m studying externally at the moment because it just allows for umm (laughs) it allows just a bit of freedom with your, with work and with umm, with other extra curricula activities you might have
On campus I spose there is a lot more need to be up to date with the modules which obviously as an external student you still try to be but there is a lot less pressure so if you do get behind you can catch up at your own pace.
Yeah the lectures are very helpful and I’ve got their phone numbers so I can call them if I get stuck and um the group assignments also helps with uh not just being able to uh get help on the direct assignment but down the track sort of like you’ve networked with other students and you can get help come exam time and with other assignment as well. Generally all my questions are sort of emailed through and I usually get a response within 24hrs which is good.
Well I work three days a week so generally I’m work hours I work and I come home and relax a bit but I’m, the days I don’t work I usually study or do assignments for a few hours and then whatever happens to be going on um yeah but definitely on the week days that I don’t work is sort of my main study days (Laughs).
Um my dream job as a kid was to captain the Australian Cricket team and when that didn’t uh work out for me though I decided that I better go to uni. When I’m older I had the idea of either being a an accountant or a financial planner but now I’m working as an accountant so that’s definitely the career path I will be perusing.
