To assist you with the costs associated with studying at university, eligible students are able to access deferred payment arrangements through the Commonwealth Higher Education Loan Program (HELP). Textbooks and other expensesThe costs of books, stationery and other supplies will vary, according to the courses you study. Students are usually expected to have their own textbooks. The USQ Bookshop sells all new textbooks needed for USQ courses. Textbooks cost about $300 - $500 a semester for a full-time student if purchased new. You also usually have the opportunity to purchase second-hand textbooks. There may also be some additional expenses specific to your degree. For example, if you study nursing, you will also need to purchase a uniform and stethoscope. ScholarshipsWe offer more than 100 scholarships to outstanding students who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership and participation in the wider community. Scholarships are also available to students whose ability to attend university and achieve their full academic potential is affected by financial hardship.
