Postgraduate coursework applicants

Applicants wishing to study postgraduate coursework programs, apply directly to USQ via:

• USQ online application
• a direct entry application form (PDF* 154KB).

Postgraduate research students

Applications for Research Master and Doctor of Philosophy programs apply through the Office of Research and Higher Degrees.

Closing dates

You should ensure you submit your application prior to the nominated closing dates. Applications will continue to be considered after the due date, however those received by the due date will be given priority.

Admission requirements

Admission requirements for postgraduate programs vary depending on the program and the major area of study. Students should consult the USQ Handbook for detailed admission requirements.

Deferral

The University will permit commencing postgraduate and honours students to defer their studies only in documented cases of ill health, financial hardship, overseas travel on a student exchange program, acceptance into the Defence Ready Reserve Scheme, or for such other reasons as the Academic Board may determine.

Postgraduate and Honours students wishing to apply for deferral should contact their Faculty.
