USQ aims to assist guidance officers, career advisors and other people working in the field of education through the provision of various professional development resources and opportunities.
Postgraduate programs
USQ offers a number of postgraduate programs in the field of education which may be of interest to staff working as guidance officers, career advisors or related areas who are interested in adding to their current qualifications.
Information on postgraduate programs in other areas is also provided for people interested in diversifying their studies, or moving into another area.
Guidance Officer Days and Transition Forums
USQ Guidance Officer Days at the Toowoomba, Springfield and Fraser Coast campuses provide guidance officers and career advisors the opportunity to catch-up on the latest information available on USQ admissions and programs as well as other topics of current interest.
USQ also hosts a Transition Forum at its Fraser Coast campus, usually in April each year. Again teachers, career advisors and guidance officers are invited to the Fraser Coast campus to become involved in information sessions and practical workshops to assist them in carrying out their role.

Seminars and Workshops are a valuable way of leaning and further developing industry techniques and practices. USQ is a strong believer in assisting our guidance counsellor in enhancing their skills.
