Academic career
A grouping of all academic work undertaken by a student that is grouped into a single student record. Academic Career groupings include undergraduate, postgraduate, non-award and research.
Undergraduate
A first degree which may be a Certificate, Diploma, Associate Degree or Bachelor program.
Postgraduate and research
A higher degree program, undertaken by students who have been awarded a first degree. Postgraduate programs include:

Graduate/ Postgraduate Certificate

Graduate/Postgraduate Diploma

Masters and Doctoral programs.
Postgraduate study may take the form of coursework, research, or a combination of both.
Non-award
An academic program which does not lead to an award and which comprises a course or courses of study which:
- are from an academic program or programs at the University
- are able to be counted as credit towards some academic program at the University by all students who complete the course or courses of study.
