External study

A study mode that does not require a student to come on to campus. These students study part-time.  External study may be ‘print-based' or ‘online'. Courses are classified as external when:

• lesson materials, assignments, etc are delivered to students by post, CD, or online
• any associated attendance at the University is of an incidental, irregular, special or voluntary nature.

External study is abbreviated as EXT. Compare with ‘Internal / on-campus student' and ‘Mixed mode study'
