Program AimsThe Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is a University-wide degree undertaken by research over the equivalent of one year of full-time study (eight units).
The normal entry requirement for the Master of Philosophy is a bachelor degree at the level of First Class Honours or Second Class Honours (Division A or B). In some cases, applicants with qualifications that are deemed to be equivalent to the honours awards will be accepted. Normally, all students will be enrolled as provisional students with candidature reviewed after the equivalent of six months of full-time study.
A completed application form together with an outline of the proposed research topic should be forwarded to the Office of Research and Higher Degrees for consideration by the University's Research and Higher Degrees Committee.
Program StructureThis is a research degree with a minimum period of one year for full-time candidature and two years for part-time candidature.
