Program focus
In this degree students complete 32 courses. Students are given
a foundation in business and then study one of the major areas offered
within the Bachelor of Business. Further studies are then taken in
information technology, majoring in either Information Technology
Management or Net Technologies. To complete the degree students undertake
further studies in any of these areas to graduate with a broad knowledge.

Program aims
The emphases of this program are:

overview of the business environment (broadly defined to include
both private and public 'business') with specific emphasis on management
and information technology issues

vocationally oriented knowledge and skills that will enable
students to identify, analyse and resolve business management and
information technology problems in both the private (profit and non-profit)
and public sectors.

Program objectives
The general objective of this program is to provide students
with vocationally-oriented knowledge and skills that will enable them
to identify, analyse and resolve business management and information
technology problems in both the private (profit and non-profit) and
public sectors. Achievement of the objectives in chosen major studies
will enable a student to compete for positions in the relevant professional
areas and to pursue career development and life-long learning.
This program encompasses the specific objectives of both the Bachelor of Business and the Bachelor of Information Technology (Faculty of Business)

How to apply
Domestic students
Application for undergraduate programs may be made through
the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC). The same procedure
applies whether you plan to study on-campus or by distance education.
If you completed Year 12 at a Queensland secondary school you
will be assessed for entry on the basis of your Overall Position (OP)
or equivalent score. Year 12 students from other states or territories
are considered for entry on the basis of their UAI, ENTER or TER and
the subject prerequisites indicated. Other applicants
will be based on their overall Rank. You should ensure you submit
your application by the closing
dates.
International students
This program is offered to international students. An international
student is a person who is not an Australian or New Zealand citizen

Program fees
Student contribution amount
For domestic students who are offered Commonwealth supported
