Program focus
This combined degree aims to produce graduates with complementary
skills and knowledge in science and business, who are capable of making
sound business decisions while practising professionally in their
chosen scientific field. The program allows students to gain expertise
and knowledge in both the business and science areas without having
to undertake two separate degree programs.
Career opportunities
Scientists with professional level business skills. Focus on
sciences in a business context with a major in science and a major
in one area of business (such as management of human resources, leadership
development, or understanding consumer behaviour).

Program aims
The program is designed to produce graduates with complementary
skills and knowledge in Science and Business who are capable of making
sound business decisions while practising professionally in their
chosen scientific field. Graduates will meet the aims and objectives
of both the Bachelor of Science and the Bachelor of Business programs.

Program fees
Commonwealth supported place
A Commonwealth supported place is where the Australian Government
makes a contribution towards the cost of your higher education and
you as a student pay a student contribution
amount, which varies depending on the courses undertaken. You
are able to calculate the fees for a particular course via the Course Fee Finder.
Commonwealth Supported students may be eligible to defer their
fees through a Government loan called HECS-HELP.
International full fee paying place
International students pay full
fees. Full fees vary depending on the courses that are taken
and whether they are studied on-campus, via distance education/online.

The program is offered jointly by the Faculty of Sciences and
Faculty of Business but is administered by the Faculty of Sciences.

Recommended enrolment pattern
Upon accepting a place in the program, students would have informed
the Science Program Coordinator telephone +61 7 4631 2226, of the
majors they wished to study. In collaboration with appropriate academic
staff, a suitable enrolment pattern for individual students would
have been constructed (subject to timetabling constraints), students
would have been informed of this pattern and enrolled in courses according
to this pattern.
